Aflame Hardy Waterlily has dark-red blooms that look amazing in the water! Once this waterlily is established the red blooms can reach 6 - 7 inches in diameter! Aflame is one of the most exciting reds in the water! Once known as 'Escarboucle', Aflame Red Hardy Waterlily is complemented with medium-green lily pads. Aflame has a 4 - 5 foot spread and looks great in medium to large ponds. The red flowers can be seen from a distance and are simply striking!
Plant your Aflame Waterlily in a wide, shallow container using loam soil. Place in full sun in shallow water until established (6 inches until established) then place the plant at a deeper depth (12 - 24 inches) beneath the surface of the water, in full sun.
Fertilize your waterlilies each month with fertilizer spikes or fertilizer tablets meant for aquatic gardens.
