 Australian Feathers, also called feathery marestail (myriophyllum Crispatum) has bright-green, feathery foliage above and below the water. Australian Feathers has pleasant shades of green foliage in columns above the water, the columns are erect and feathery, green with tiny red flowers in summer. Underwater, this feathery green foliage aids in spawning and protects small fish. Frogs lay their eggs in this feathery plant as well. Australian Feathers grows 6 inches tall and 8 - 16 inches wide. Plant bunched stems of Australian Feathers in loam soil and place on shelves in your pond with up to 5 inches of water above the roots. Australian Feathers grows well in full sun to part shade.
