Big Mirror Iris (Pseudata Iris 'Okagami' Japanese Bog Iris

Plant Description

Big Mirror Iris is a stunning, linen-white iris with dark-purple 'eyelash' patterns as well as intricate, dark-purple veining throughout the petals. Big Mirror Iris has golden-yellow signals and lighter yellow style arms which are elegant complements to this striking, Japanese Iris! Big Mirror Iris blooms in early to late spring and once it blooms--it continues to bloom for three weeks.

Height       Grows to 35 inches tall

Width         12 inch spread

Sunlight Requirements    Prefers full sun and blooms best in full sun but will tolerate part shade

Moisture Requirements    Moist soil or shallow water above the roots

Planting Instructions

Plant your Big Mirror Iris in moist loam soil in your terrestrial garden or in containers using loam soil for your water garden. Allow an inch or two of water above the roots when placing your Big Mirror Iris in your pond. Iris are a great choice for water filtration, removing heavy metals as well as extra nutrients in the pond water.
