Chinese Lizard's Tail (Saururus Chinensis) is a whimsical plant with shiny, green foliage and spikes of fragrant, fuzzy, white flowers that look like the tail of a lizard. Chinese Lizard's Tail can be planted in large containers, at least 14 inches wide in diameter, as this plant grows to three feet tall upon maturity and the larger pots will keep it from falling over. Use moist, loam soil or plant directly into the soil in the shallow edge of your natural pond. Chinese Lizard's Tail will tolerate up to four inches of water above the roots and grows in full sun to part shade. Chinese Lizard's Tail blooms all summer long, from June through August.
