Dwarf Papyrus is a lovely addition to your water garden, adding texture and interest with slender green stems and attractive, fluffy seed heads. This viviparous plant reproduces through seedheads at the top of the plant. Dwarf Papyrus does best with 2 - 4 inches of water above the roots, and planted in full sun to part shade. Dwarf Papyrus is equally at home in the pond or in your terrestrial garden, it is important that the soil stays evenly moist in your terrestrial garden!

Plant your Dwarf Papyrus directly into the soil in your terrestrial garden in full sun to part shade, making sure to keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells. When planting your Dwarf Papyrus in the pond, plant in a two gallon container, using loam soil and place the container 2 - 4 inches beneath the surface of the water.
