Emelia Lotus is a magnificent, showy lotus with 8-10", clear pink flowers that have long, wide outer petals and curly, ruffled inner petals, making this a most unusual specimen! A dazzling addition to your water garden feature!
Plant this beauty in a large, wide, shallow container using heavy loam soil, keeping growth tips on the lotus tuber exposed. Add 4 - 6 inches of water over the soil and place in full sun in a shallow area of your pond or in a container on your deck or patio.
DO NOT FERTILIZE. In a couple of weeks you will have coin leaves on the surface of the water. Soon aerial leaves will appear, once you have aerial leaves growing out of the water, fertilize monthly during the growing/blooming season. We recommend and sell aquatic, slow release Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs or Landon Granular Fertilizer. We recommend them for vigorous growth and best bloom!
