Enfant Prodige Iris
Enfant Prodige Iris has multiple branches of lavender-blue to purple blooms on established Enfant Prodige Iris plants! This spectacular iris has an incredibly long bloom season of 4 - 6 weeks! This is the longest bloom time for any of our iris. Enfant Prodige Iris make an excellent pond plant which also does well in your terrestrial garden. The key is to keeping the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells. Enfant Prodige Iris has lovely, 4 inch blooms atop handsome green foliage. The green foliage stays nice all season long.

Plant your Enfant Prodige Iris in moist soil or with up to an inch of water above the roots. When planting in your terrestrial garden, add composted material in the area where you are planting your iris. Dig holes a little larger than the rhizomes and place rhizomes so that the top of the rhizome in almost even with the soil. Cover the rhizomes with an inch of soil. Plant in full sun to part shade. Iris bloom best in full sun. When placing your aquatic iris in the pond, plant your iris in containers using loam soil. Place containers in the pond with up to an inch of water above the soil in full sun to part shade. Iris bloom best in full sun.
