Plant your Giant Papyrus in moist soil in your terrestrial garden or with up to 12 inches above the roots in your pond or container garden. Plant in full sun to part shade. Fertilize once each month throughout the growing season with a slow release fertilizer like Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs.
Giant Papyrus grows quite tall. Protect your container gardens from tipping over by placing rocks in the bottom of your planting containers (not on top of the soil), to help weigh the containers down in case of high wind. Also, when planting your Giant Papyrus in the terrestrial garden, consider plant placement to protect from high winds.
*Extra Large Fabric Planting Containers are an excellent choice for Giant Papyrus as well as other large, marginal plants for the pond!
