Handmaiden Louisiana Iris is an amazing specimen! Beautiful, lavender-pink blooms with a hint of red-brown in the petals along with bright yellow centers make this bog iris a standout! Handmaiden Louisiana Iris grows 24 inches tall in full sun/part shade when grown in moist, acidic soil. Plant in evenly moist soil in your bog, or with up to 3 inches of water over the soil as a water garden specimen. Attractive, green sword-like foliage stays nice all summer long. Handmaiden Louisiana Iris is a beautiful addition to your water garden as it also attracts hummingbirds. Handmaiden Louisiana Iris is deer resistant. Handmaiden Louisiana Iris spreads by rhizome with clumping habitat. Expect a three foot clump in a couple of years!
