Laevigata Iris (Variegated) CUSTOMER FAVORITE COAST TO COAST! This dazzling specimen has 4 inch, purple-blue blooms and showy green foliage with creamy white striping. Bloom time is early or late spring, depending on zone. and plants grow 24 - 30 inches tall. The foliage stays nice all summer long and adds vertical interest.

Planting Instructions

Plant this vigorous grower in moist, rich loamy soil or in up to 6 inches of water over the rhizome in a water garden setting. Iris Laevigata look great as mass plantings, as a focal point in your pond or water garden. Great as border plant, in edgings or on banks of ponds and rivers. Prefers full sun to part shade. Vigorous grower that spreads easily and once established, forms 16 - 30 inch clumps.

Iris is great for water filtration as the roots help take up extra nutrients in the water that cause algae to grow. Also an excellent choice for soil erosion on pond, lake and stream banks.
