Plant Description

Mottled Beauty Iris is a spectacular white iris with spatters and speckles of lavender-blue to purple markings. The flowers on this iris are breathtaking and bloom in early to late spring. Mottled Beauty Iris grow to 24 inches tall in full sun to part shade. Mottled Beauty Iris bloom best in full sun. The handsome, green, sword-like foliage stays nice all season long.

Planting Instructions

Plant your Mottled Beauty Iris in your terrestrial garden using composted soil and plant rhizomes with the top of the rhizome even with the surface of the soil, in full sun to part shade.  Keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells. When planting to place in the pond, use a planting basket or fabric planting container and use loam soil. Up to three inches of water above the rhizomes in the pond, in full sun to part shade. Mottled Beauty Iris blooms best in full sun.

Divide your Mottled Beauty Iris in late summer to early fall, every two to three years as needed.
