Thousand Petals Lotus has vivid pink blooms that are held regally over the handsome green foliage. The large, pink flowers bloom early and bloom all season long. Blooms have beautiful shape and color.
Plant in large, wide container using heavy loam soil. Keep growth tips of tuber exposed. Add 4 - 6 inches of water over soil and place in full sun (8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily) in the shallow end of your pond or in a container on your deck or patio. In a week or two, coin leaves will appear on the surface of the water. DO NOT FERTILIZE until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water. Once you have aerial leaves, you may begin to fertilize your lotus plant.
Fertilize monthly during the growing/blooming season. We use, recommend and sell Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs. We recommend them for vigorous growth and best bloom as well as ease of use, simply press the tabs into the soil near the roots of your aquatic plants..
