Red Lantern Lotus has beautiful, rosy-red, ruffled, multi-petal blooms! The petal count, robust color and shape will delight you! EXQUISITE OF BOWL.
Store tuber in the refrigerator until proper planting time in your zone. Once danger of frost has passed and day and night time temperatures are consistently warm, plant this lovely specimen in a wide, shallow container using heavy loam soil. Keep growth tips on tuber exposed. Add 2 inches of water above soil and place container in full sun, outdoors. (Lotus need 8 - 12 hours of sunlight to grow and bloom.) In a couple of weeks you will have coin leaves on the surface of the water.
DO NOT fertilize until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water. Fertilize monthly. We use, sell and recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for vigorous growth and best bloom.
