Plant Description

Red Stem Arrowhead 

Red Stem Arrowhead (Sagittaria Lancifolia Rubrum) is a stunning pond plant that has lovely, green, lance-like foliage with a red blush at the base of the leaves.  Clusters of white flowers with distinct red markings complement this aquatic specimen, Red Stem Arrowhead, nicely. This attractive plant grows 2 - 4 feet tall in loam soil with up to 6 inches of water above the roots. Red Stem Arrowhead looks great when grown on the bank of a stream bed or in shallow water in your pond. 

Height   Grows to 4 feet tall

Width     Grows 2 feet wide

Sunlight Requirements   Full sun to part shade

Moisture Requirements   Wet with up to 6 inches of water above the roots (deeper depths for                                                            established plants)

Bloom    Blooms June through October

Planting Instructions

Plant in wide containers using loam soil and place in the pond with up to six inches of water above the roots. Plant in full sun to part shade. Great for stream beds or ponds or when placed in large container gardens. Hardy in zones 8 - 12

* 14 Inch, Large Fabric Planting Containers are great for Red Stem Arrowhead, simply fill  fabric planting container 1/2 full of soil, place Red Stem Arrowhead in the container and add more loam soil above the roots. Place in the pond with up to six inches of water above the roots, in full sun to part shade.
