Shubunkin Comet 2-3" make an excellent pond fish and are similar in shape and size to comet goldfish. The most outstanding feature of a shubunkin comet is their calico coloration. Colors are white, red, gold, purple, black and blue. The more blue coloration a shubunkin has, the more valuable. Shubunkin comets resemble comet goldfish in a number of ways. The shubunkin tails are usually larger and droop a little more. Fins are long, flowing and forked. Shubunkin comets can tolerate any conditions that regular comet goldfish can tolerate. Shubunkin comets are quick and agile swimmers and are pleasant to observe in your pond. They also multiply quickly! Be sure to check your pond for overpopulation every few months.
