Shubunkin Comet 4.5-5" are an excellent choice for your pond, similar in size and shape to comet goldfish. Shubunkins resemble goldfish in a number of ways, but the shubunkin tails are usually larger and droop a little more. Shubunkin fins are long, flowing and forked. The most beautiful feature on shubunkin comets are their coloration and calico features. The colors are red, gold, white, black, purple and blue. The more blue color in a shubunkin adds to its' value. Shubunkin comets can tolerate the same conditions as regular comet goldfish. They multiply quickly and you should check your pond every few months for overpopulation. These quick and agile swimmers are fun to observe in your pond.
