Tropic Star Waterlily (Winter Hardy Waterlily!) Also known as Pink Splash, Do not let the name fool you! This is a winter hardy perennial. One of the earlier hardy x tropical crosses by Mike Giles produced this wonderful fragrant, bi-color, heavy flowering water lily! Flowers stand well above the water and are star shaped. The fragrance is of a light tropical note with some hardy sweetness. Numerous flowers are open at one time often in summer and early fall, though it begins blooming in early June. Very easy to grow!
Plant in a wide 16 or 20 inch container using loam soil. Place in full sun 12 - 24 inches beneath the surface of the water and fertilize through the growing season for best results.
