Variegated Spider Lily (Hymenocallis Caribaea Variegata)

Plant Description

Variegated Spider Lily will add an exquisite, tropical look to any area of your pond with it's cream and green striped, strap-like leaves and the delicate white flowers that bloom in the summer months. Variegated Spider Lilies are native to the southeastern United States, Mexico, Central America, northern South America and the Caribbean. Plant your Variegated Spider Lily in containers in shallow areas of your pond with up 0 - 4 inches of water over the crown of the plant. Plants grow to 24 inches tall with 12 inch spread. Plant in full sun to part shade. Hardy in zones 7-11

Planting Instructions

Plant your Variegated Spider Lily in a 2 - 3 gallon container or a fabric planting container, using loam soil. Plant if full sun to part shade and place in pond with up to 0 - 4 inches of water above the roots. Fertilize once each month with a slow release fertilizer like Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs. Variegated Spider Lilies are considered an annual in the north, but does beautifully throughout the summer months in the north!
