Window Shopping Iris is a showy Louisiana Bog Iris with lively, rusty-red outer petals and golden-yellow inner petals. Standards are light-yellow with red midrib and dark red falls. The green sword-like foliage stays nice all summer long. Flowers bloom early to late spring, depending on zone. This Louisiana bog iris grows well in moist soil or with 4 - 6 inches of water above the rhizome in a water garden setting. Great in edgings, borders or as a focal point in your pond or flower garden. Grows 2 - 3 feet tall in full sun to part shade. When planting in your terrestrial garden, soil should be loam that has been heavily composted. Dig holes a little larger that the iris bulbs and plant iris rhizomes with the top of the bulb even with the surface of the soil. Cover rhizomes with about 1/2 inch of soil and water well.
